I’m a huge fan of JCrew’s Vintage Cotton tees. I’ve tried many other basic tees at almost every store you can think of, and none drape as well as these, fit as comfortably, hold their shape, nor are as flattering as these. Plus they always hold their colors really well, staying vibrant even after many washes. This tank will go with everything and be comfortable while you stay looking sharp. If you’re like me, as much as I love the Bubble Necklace in Citrus Lime, part of me – the lazy part – does not want to wear a heavy necklace on hot Spring/Summer days. Margate purse in Moroccan Yellow to the rescue! This is the perfect pop of color for any lazy person. I don’t usually need much when I go out – usually just my credit card (in a coin purse), keys, and my phone. Talbots Fair-Isle Flyaway Cardigan – $149

I’ve been seeing some rave reviews of Talbots, much like the fanfare Lands End Canvas received when they first launched. Very J.Crew-esque stuff. I’m not sure why I’ve always had the impression that they were geared towards older, more mature women, at least much more so than J.Crew. But today I checked it out and there are definitely some cute stuff…but quite pricey! $149 for a cardigan? Yikes.

This skirt turned out to be cuter and more perfect than I imagined. The shape is a perfect A-line, which really accentuates and narrows the waist. The smocked waist is SUPER comfortable. The length is absolutely perfect, hitting me slightly at the knee. And the print is adorable! Very peasant-girlish and preppy. Here’s a shot with the shirt tucked in and belted:

The henley is only $9.95 from H&M as well and probably similar quality to the “tissue” material henleys J.Crew pumps out. Cheap outfit but cute, right? I love that the skirt is so flattering but so comfortable. I’m guessing it won’t work with tights for Fall/Winter because the material will cling onto tights, but while the weather isn’t too cold yet, I can wear them with my new Nine West Destry boots! Throw on my J.Crew Schoolboy Blazer and I will be comfy but cute. Love, love, love!

Of course, they were completely sold out in the only two places that carried them – NineWest.com and Macys.com. I thought maybe I was too late to the party and it was over. I probably googled “Nine West Donley” every day to see whether they would restock. Then bam, one day, a whole slew of sites started carrying them. Glad I caught this new batch – I’m sure they’ll sell out again soon!

Ugh, too cute! Looks like it has a 4″ heel, with a 1/2″ platform. Would not ordinarily think of this as comfortable, since we’re talking about a 3.5″ pitch here. But surprisingly, they are! I did my normal ball-of-feet test with high heels, where I stand still for a while and see if they kill the ball of my feet. If they do, that probably means the pitch is too great to really walk comfortably for an entire day. Well, these passed! They don’t feel too high to walk in at all. Definitely not as comfy as the Destry boots or my Irina clogs, but definitely comfortable for such a hot shoe!

Here’s what I love most about these: usually I try to avoid above-the-ankle booties because they tend to cut off the line of your legs and make you look stumpy. For me, with my big ol’ calves, my legs look like big sausages that come to an abrupt end point. I’m not sure what it is about these, but the first thing I noticed is that they don’t make my legs look that way at all (I don’t think?). They kind of even look like they extend the line of my legs a little. Anyway, I LOVE them! I’ve spent the last few hours just walking around in them at home because I don’t want to take them off!

At first I didn’t even realize these were over the knee boots. But then when I realized, I questioned whether I could really pull it off; then I realized you can also wear these cuffed so that they’re not over the knee. These are just classic black boots that I think can look super cute (and match absolutely everything), but are also very comfortable because there’s a 1/2″ platform on a 3″ heel.

Had to take more pictures with my new J.Crew Schoolboy Blazer because I know my last set of pictures were pretty crappy. Anyway, left picture shows cuffed, right picture is full on over the knee. Not a huge difference. My friend commented that they look abnormally tall and therefore very weird, but I think that’s the way OTK boots are supposed to look, no? I’m liking the coverage of my entire lower leg – will keep me warm during those cold days too! Sweet. Here are side shots:

Again, left picture shows cuffed, right picture is over the knee. I love the fact that these don’t look at all like they’re low-heel boots, but they feel like frickin’ flats. I swear. The platform in the front does wonders. All in all, I’m totally in love with these boots. They fit me perfectly, they’ll keep me warm, and they look super hot but are incredibly comfortable. I’m surprised they’re not already sold out, but maybe they’re new. I’d grab a pair asap (unless you have skinny legs…in which case these may not be for you).

I love the brass button detailing on this classic, fitted, go-with everything blazer. I love that you can throw it onto a very casual outfit and you’ll look instantly dressed up and put together. I threw it on over my favorite skirt of the month for a quick modeling pic; sorry these are not the best pics.

I tried to take a second photo to show the cuff buttons better, but I didn’t really succeed, did I? Anyway, is it weird to wear this under a coat for winter? It’s too thin to wear as a standalone jacket when the weather gets a bit chilly, but it seems weird to wear under a coat. Oh well, it’s perfect for this season – not too hot, not too cold.

I know I’m not alone in the eternal hunt for the super comfortable but flattering go-to shoe. For me, I need something I can comfortably wear under jeans yet also look great with skirts. Something I can turn to on a daily basis when I’m feeling lazy, yet not look like a lazy slob. Something as flattering as those thin-heeled-feet-killers but as comfortable as flats. It’s an “eternal” hunt because it’s almost impossible. I used to think it had to be booties (or ankle boots). I’ve always found them relatively comfortable and cute with both jeans and skirts. However, I haven’t had much luck with comfortable booties this season. So I turned to wedge clogs – slip ons, low heel pitch, and very on trend this season.

3 inch heel, 1 inch platform in a wedge. Equivalent of 2 inches. I got it in black suede, which is I think the most leg-lengthening, especially with black tights. It also makes my legs look much longer and leaner in jeans, because it makes them look like they miraculously grew 3 inches. Best of all – uber comfortable, super cushiony. Slip on and go. I can’t recommend these enough. Only thing I wish was not there are the studs around the side, but for some reason they are ubiquitous on clogs. As icing on the cake, these are also very eco-friendly – chrome-free, biodegradable, etc etc.

Get them here from Zappos for $149. I think the consensus is to go a half size up!

This jacket is frickin’ gorgeous. If you have not tried it on or touched it, do so immediately before these suckers are sold out. You will fall in love. I almost guarantee it. The fit is so cute and feminine, the inside is so soft, and the leather feels amazing. I don’t know how they can sell this jacket for such a low price, as all the other leather jackets I’ve seen online have been significantly pricier. It is also very warm, so it’s perfect for this chilly weather.

I love it, I love it, I love it. I pet it almost daily while I wait for the weather to cool down enough to wear it out. I don’t know why I’ve always had the impression that leather jackets are very matronly and …”butch”…but this one is the opposite. It would be so cute with a skirt and clogs this Fall, or even over a flowy top and jeans. It would be hard to resist this one if you just try it on. Again, I never pictured myself to ever wear a leather jacket, but this one proves me wrong. I really can’t wait!

Keep checking online here for popbacks. I just saw a Small pop up yesterday at the sale price of $239 so definitely keep stalking! Or check out your stores if you’re near one!

I love that this top can be dressed up and down, that it can look fancy but then you can also throw it on with jeans. Here’s what I didn’t love…boob smashing!!! Gahhh. Is my body just so weirdly disproportionate that either my arms don’t fit or the girls don’t fit? I don’t understand. I first got a Small and it fit perfectly…but the girls were so smashed I could barely move. I exchanged it for a Medium, seen here, which STILL smashes the girls but at least it’s wearable.

I will just have to wear this layered…maybe under a cardigan or blazer. Probably not a stand-alone for me. This top is sold out in the color online, but there’s plenty in stores. The black version is also very pretty.
