The new Cotton Pimm Skirt from J.Crew is basically the Cotton Nico Skirt from last season reinvented in new colors. I’m not sure many people were really fans of the Cotton Nico Skirt, so I have no idea why they released it again. But, I happened to like that skirt and absolutely love the new Wild Mushroom color, so this was a must-try for me.
In real life the Wild Mushroom color seemed a bit dull and not as saturated as this catalog picture would seem to depict. It also was not the most flattering, and now that I try on my Cotton Nico Skirt again, it’s not all that flattering either. What was I thinking?

It was relatively shapeless but stiff. I felt compelled to stick my hand into the pockets (yes, at least there are pockets) in order to flare out the skirt a bit. It’s a cute little skirt, I guess, but I’m just not jumping for joy over it.

I just stumbled across your site looking for a picture of this skirt. I think you’re too hard on yourself! I think you look adorable in that skirt. 🙂 It’s a nice length..I think I’ll have to go try it on just to see.
